India Visa (e-Visa / regular) photo — requirements & how to
Indian visa applications (e-Visa and regular) use a square 2×2 inch photo on a white or light background. The e-Visa form wants a JPEG between 10 KB and 1 MB; the regular visa form accepts 10–300 KB at 350×350 to 1000×1000 pixels. Keep it glare-free — no spectacles for the e-Visa, no shadows or borders.

- Full face, front view, eyes open; no spectacles (e-Visa rule), no borders, no shadows
- Light-coloured (preferably white) background
- Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable; religious headwear is fine if the face isn't covered
