Learner's and driving licence applications on the Parivahan Sarathi portal upload a passport-size photo: 35×45 mm, recent, front-facing, light background. The upload is a small scanned JPEG — 10 to 20 KB at 420×525 pixels minimum. The application isn't registered until your photo and signature are uploaded.
Key rules for Driving licence
- Recent (within 6 months) passport-size colour photo — 35×45 mm
- Look straight at the camera; light-coloured (preferably white) background
- Glasses are OK only if they don't reflect; caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable
- Religious headwear is allowed if the face isn't covered
- The Sarathi upload must be a JPEG of 10–20 KB — after downloading, use the resize & compress tool to hit that window if needed
